Meet Nhu-An Nguyen, D.M.D.
Dr. Nhu-An Nguyen’s path to dentistry started early, her grandfather was a dentist in Vietnam, and she grew up playing with his old instruments. A childhood spent loving her own family dentist sealed the deal.
After graduating from the UAB School of Dentistry in 2020, Dr. Nguyen completed a General Practice Residency with UAB Medicine in the Hospital Dentistry clinic, then practiced in Birmingham and Denver before making her way to Atlanta.
She joined Rifkin Dental Group because it was clear from her very first visit that the Rifkins had built something special. A practice where multiple generations of the same family return year after year, and where patients who’ve moved away still commute back. That kind of loyalty, she believes, is earned through genuine care and intention.
For Dr. Nguyen, dentistry is the perfect blend of art and health. She loves working with her hands to craft smiles that are both beautiful and healthy, and she thrives on the relationships that come from being a true dental home for her patients. Comfort is central to her approach: every new patient gets a dedicated visit to talk through any fears or triggers before treatment ever begins, and a complimentary comfort menu. Warm towelettes, blankets, and pillows are always on offer. Throughout every procedure, she keeps open communication flowing between herself, her assistant, and the patient.
Outside the office, Dr. Nguyen spends her time with her husband, Brent, and their dog, Luna, exploring Atlanta’s neighborhoods with family and friends. She’s an enthusiastic cook and host, and you’ll often find her outdoors year-round hiking, biking, or skiing.
